Founder's Story

Do you know what to do if someone collapses in front of you?

What if a child is choking?

When should you call an ambulance?

During my time as a paramedic, I witnessed countless situations where families and bystanders felt helpless during emergencies because they did not know what to do while waiting for professional medical help to arrive.

Every second can matter. Those experiences showed me that having knowledge is only one part of being prepared — people also need the confidence to step forward and act when it matters most.

After leaving the force, I remained passionate about emergency preparedness and education. I saw an opportunity to make first aid training more engaging, practical and accessible, while building an organisation that could create an impact beyond the classroom.

In 2021, I founded Rolling Pineapple with a simple belief: practical skills can empower people, strengthen communities and change lives.

What began with first aid education has since grown into something much bigger. Rolling Pineapple has developed into a social enterprise supporting individuals, organisations and communities through training, community initiatives and healthcare-related services, including our Medical Transport Services (MTS) .

Today, we are proud to be recognised as a social enterprise by raiSE Singapore and to have served more than 300 organisations. But for me, growth has never been simply about becoming bigger. It is about increasing the number of people we can equip, support and create opportunities for .

As Rolling Pineapple continues to grow into new areas of safety, care and community preparedness, the purpose behind what we do remains the same: to equip people with practical skills, create opportunities for others and contribute towards safer, more caring and resilient communities.
